This blog is about +20 years old (and even older) toys that have managed to escape the bin for decades and made it to the 2020s. Well done, toys! I will begin with presenting some items from my own childhood – from the 1980s and 1990s. We will see if we can go even further back in time later on.
The toys that I present on this blog are probably not suitable for today’s kids due to their poor safety. As they were mostly designed and built before the modern day regulations, they are likely to contain hazardous chemicals and removable parts that can cause serious harm to small children. I would advise giving today’s kids only modern toys to play with, to make sure they are safe and proper for the child’s age. We adults can admire the fragile and wonky vintage toys on our shelves instead and wonder how we ever survived playing with them.
I do not sell toys – I just write about them. Have fun reading!
I am from Finland, by the way. If it matters, most of the toys presented on this blog were sold and bought in Finland, too. Some exceptions may occur.
